MONTREAL ARTIST KAT CORIC TO MAKE DALLAS DEBUT CIROC VODKA SPONSORS PURPLE FOUNDATION HOST PARTY
The Purple Foundation has teamed up with Ciroc Vodka to present a special evening for Sponsors and Hosts of the Foundation’s 2006 Event on Friday, April 28 from 8pm to Midnight at Fuse Restaurant located in the historic Dallas Power & Light building in Downtown Dallas.
New York City DJ, Jack Reina, provides the backdrop as guests sample light fare from the restaurant’s TexAsian Cuisine menu. While mingling, the hosts and sponsors will be given the opportunity to bid on Silent Auction items including a private wine tasting and tour for 10 courtesy of times ten cellars (www.timestencellars.com), Tumi leather goods and Spa Treatments from Le Beau Visage Medical Spa (www.lebeauvisage.com).
Guests will also have the opportunity to view (and purchase) an exclusive showing of artwork from 3 great artists at this Invitation Only event.
Making her Southwest premier, Kat Coric, (www.katcoric.com) is a multidisciplinary artist and producer working in Montreal. She has been an active social commentator and health advocate in the gay community since 1996. In her art she explores issues relating to HIV/AIDS, Harm Reduction and the underground dance culture. She produces special events that foster education around these subjects. Her works are in numerous collections including The Tom of Finland Foundation, MTV/VH1 Networks, Planned Parenthood and the private collections of DJ’s Junior Vasquez, Angel Moraes, Warren Gluck and Mark Anthony.
Victor Pilon of 4-DART, Cirque du Soleil, Montreal says, “…She is a force, a strong and important figure that has contributed greatly to the community….” While noted Chicago AIDS Researcher and Gay Health Activist, David G. Ostrow, MD says, “…Her works, often enigmatic and always shocking, speak to both the mind and the heart. Through her collaborations with other activist artists throughout North America, she has led a movement towards realism and activism in art that conveys life saving messages…”.
Voted Dallas’ Best Floral Designer and Florist by D Magazine and Daily Candy, Chris Brown (www.theartofchrisbrown.com) has quickly earned respect and renown for his many talents in design. His mission in life is to create art and infuse it with passion.
Chris Brown operates a fine art gallery in Paris, Texas and floral design studio in Dallas.
Houston artist Mollie Moore (www.molliemoore.com) says she started painting because she couldn’t afford to buy it. Before she started painting she says that focusing on anything for more than 30 minutes was an outlandish concept. But, now she says her work helps her feel centered and quite often it brings her stillness and sanity, an unmistakable serenity. This serenity has allowed her flourish in a new career.
Moore’s work can currently be seen throughout Houston at places like the Salon on Kirby, Crossover Gifts, SLainte Irish Pub/Ruby Room and the lobby of the Bank of America on West Gray in prestigious River Oaks.

Purple Party Dallas is produced annually by The Purple Foundation, a 100% non-profit a 501(c)3 organization. To date, the organization has raised over $50,000 for awareness, educational and support programs dedicated to HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer in Dallas.
